The Cathedral of Saint Andrew is a Greek Orthodox basilica located in the west side of Patras's city center, designed by architect Anastasios Metaxas and completed in 1974. Built in Byzantine Revival style, the cathedral stands as a major pilgrimage site for Christians worldwide, dedicated to Saint Andrew, the First-called Apostle of Christ. Together with the nearby older Church of Saint Andrew, it forms an important religious destination. The building is protected as both a Greek archaeological site and a protected structure in Greece.
