Tuam Cathedral, formally the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, is the Roman Catholic cathedral of the Archdiocese of Tuam in Tuam, Ireland. Built in the Gothic Revival style in limestone from 1837, it replaced the medieval St Mary's, which had been taken from Catholic clergy under Queen Elizabeth I's appointee William Mullaly and was rebuilt only after the Penal Laws were relaxed.
