Demolished or destroyed.
The Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament was a Catholic cathedral on Barbadoes Street in central Christchurch, New Zealand, and the mother church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Christchurch. Designed by Francis Petre and begun in 1899, it was generally held to be the finest Renaissance-style building in New Zealand. The February 2011 Christchurch earthquake collapsed its two front bell towers and destabilised the dome, and the building was later demolished.
