The Cathedral of the Holy Cross stands on Lagos Island in Nigeria, a Roman Catholic cathedral and seat of the Archdiocese of Lagos. Built in the Gothic Revival style, it was begun in 1938 and constructed in 1939, when the region was still an apostolic vicariate. It was elevated to cathedral status only in 1950.
