Designed by Carl Schumann and completed in 1865, the Cetate Synagogue stands on Mărășești Street in the Cetate district of Timișoara, Romania, serving the city's Neolog Jewish congregation. Built in an eclectic architectural style, the structure exemplifies the Moorish Revival aesthetic favored by Central European Jewish communities in the nineteenth century. The synagogue was registered as a Historic Monument in Romania, though it ceased active use in 1985, subsequently serving as a concert hall before its restoration and reopening as both a functioning synagogue and tourist attraction in 2022.
