In the industrial suburb of Oullins in the Rhône department of France stands a Byzantine Revival chapel built in 1861 by the architect Pierre Bossan. Dedicated to Saint Thomas Aquinas as part of the École Saint-Thomas, the small structure exemplifies Bossan's distinctive approach to ecclesiastical design, drawing on Byzantine formal principles during an era when such revival styles offered an alternative to the dominant Gothic Revival movement in French religious architecture. The building has been recognized as a Historical Monument, reflecting its architectural significance.
