The Charles Playhouse is a theatre at 74 Warrenton Street in Boston's Theater District, built in 1839 in the Greek Revival style to designs by Asher Benjamin. Its roughly 500-seat mainstage hosted the long-running Blue Man Group, while its 200-seat second stage previously staged Shear Madness for 40 years, one of the longest runs in American theatre history. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
