Charlottenlund Palace is a former Danish royal summer residence in Charlottenlund, Gentofte Municipality, about 10 km north of central Copenhagen. Built in 1731 in the Baroque style, it was designed by Johan Cornelius Krieger and named after Princess Charlotte Amalie, who was responsible for the original palace. Ferdinand Meldahl later extended it for Crown Prince Frederick VIII in the early 1880s. From 1935 to 2017 it housed the Danish Biological Station, and it is now a cultural event venue.
