Château d'Ainay-le-Vieil stands in Ainay-le-Vieil, Cher, France, on the site of an earlier 12th-century castle. After buying it from Jacques Cœur, Charles de Bigny built a pre-Renaissance Louis XII-style château there between 1500 and 1505. Listed as a Monument historique since 1968, it is nicknamed "the little Carcassonne" for its circular shape.
