The Château de Hautefort stands in the town of Hautefort in the Dordogne, France, and is designed by Nicolas Rambourg. Originally a medieval fortress, it was reconstructed in the 17th century and set within a jardin à la française. In 1853 the Count of Choulot redesigned the gardens, adding geometric flower beds, topiary imitating the château's domes, and a long tunnel of greenery.
