The Château de Saché stands in Saché, Indre-et-Loire, France, and has been a museum dedicated to Honoré de Balzac since 1951. Balzac wrote many novels of his series La Comédie Humaine here, staying for long periods between 1830 and 1837. The château was built upon the foundations of a twelfth-century fortified house, of which a cylindrical tower and dry moats remain, and it has been a monument historique since June 1983.
