The Château de Sully-sur-Loire stands in the commune of Sully-sur-Loire in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. Built as a true fortified castle to control one of the few places where the Loire could be forded, it was later converted into a palatial seigneurial residence. It was the seat of Maximilien de Béthune, minister to King Henry IV, and of the later dukes of Sully. The building is in the Renaissance style and attributed to the architect Raymond du Temple.
