The Château de Talcy stands in Talcy, Loir-et-Cher, north of the Loire in the Loire Valley. It grew out of a fortification in existence in the 13th century, with additional wings added in the 1620s and modernisation in the 18th century that preserved its interiors. Registered as a historical monument in 1906, it has been owned by the state since 1933 and is open to visitors.
