The Château du Taureau is a sea fort in the Bay of Morlaix, off Plouezoc'h in Finistère, Brittany. The town of Morlaix began building it in the 1540s to defend its port after an English raid in 1522. Vauban drew up plans for its reconstruction in 1689, and the works were completed in 1745. The fort later served as a state prison and was designated a Monument historique in 1914.
