The Church of Notre-Dame is a Roman Catholic church on Place Notre-Dame in the preserved old centre of Dijon, France, near the Palace of the Dukes of Burgundy. Considered a masterpiece of 13th-century Gothic architecture, work on it began around 1230. It houses the statue of Notre-Dame de Bon-Espoir, formerly called the Black Madonna, and its decoration includes the jacquemart and an owl, both symbols of Dijon. It was classified as a Monument Historique in 1840.
