The Church of Sant'Antonio Abate stands at the start of Borgo Sant'Antonio Abate in Naples, Italy, and is an example of Baroque architecture. A diploma of King Robert of Anjou shows that a church and hospital already existed there by March 1313, where the sick were treated for "sacred fire," or shingles, though legend credits its founding to Queen Joanna I of Anjou. The church was once the site of the Sacred Military Constantinian Order of Saint George and contains two important paintings by Luca Giordano.
