The Church of St. Donatus in Zadar, Croatia, is a monumental Pre-Romanesque structure that began construction in the 9th century under Donatus of Zadar, who positioned it on the northeastern part of the Roman forum. Originally dedicated to the Holy Trinity, the church was rededicated to St. Donatus in the 15th century. Built in the Byzantine architectural tradition, it represents a centralised design characteristic of the Carolingian period and stands as the largest Pre-Romanesque building in Croatia.
