The Church of the Transfiguration in Zelenogorsk, a suburb of Saint Petersburg, was built in 1908 by Finnish architect Josef Stenbäck in the national Romantic style. Designated as a regional cultural heritage site in Russia, the church exemplifies early twentieth-century Scandinavian architectural influence in the region, with Stenbäck's design drawing on the romantic revival movement that characterized much of Northern European ecclesiastical architecture of the period.
