The Cidade das Artes Bibi Ferreira is a modern concrete cultural complex in Barra da Tijuca, in Rio de Janeiro's Southwest Zone, designed by the French architect Christian de Portzamparc. Originally planned to open in 2004 as the Cidade da Música, it was formally inaugurated in January 2013. It is the home of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra and contains what is described as South America's largest modern concert hall, with 1,780 seats.
