Originally the Salão High-Life, it was moved from Boavista to its present site and rebuilt in the Art Deco style by architect Artur Andrade, reopening on 3 June 1947. Closed in 2003, it reopened in 2006 as a cultural and concert venue, faithfully retaining its Art Deco character. It is a Monument of Public Interest.
