Citypoint, previously Britannic House and Britannic Tower, stands on Ropemaker Street on the northern fringe of the City of London. Built in 1967 as a 35-storey headquarters for British Petroleum, designed by F. Milton Cashmore and H. N. W. Grosvenor, it was the first building in the City to exceed the height of St Paul's Cathedral. A 2000 refurbishment by Sheppard Robson raised its height to 127 metres.
