The Civic Aquarium of Milan stands on the edge of Sempione Park in Milan, Italy, and is the third oldest aquarium in Europe. Built in 1906 for the Milan International, it is the only surviving building from that event and is an Art Nouveau palazzo. Its facade features a Neptune statue by sculptor Oreste Labò, and its tanks hold more than 100 kinds of aquatic life, with particular attention to species from Italian seacoasts, lakes, and rivers.
