The Clay County Courthouse in Clay Center, Nebraska, was built in 1917–1919 in the Beaux-Arts style to designs by William F. Gernandt, who designed ten Nebraska courthouses. It is an "exceptionally fine" example of his work and an "excellent" example of the County Citadel type. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
