In the Las Delicias neighbourhood of Madrid stands the Colegio de Nuestra Señora de las Delicias, a school designed by architect Julio Martínez-Zapata in the neo-Mudéjar style. This architectural approach draws inspiration from the medieval Mudéjar tradition, blending Islamic and Christian design elements characteristic of that Spanish historical period, reimagined through a nineteenth-century lens.
