The Royal Concertgebouw is a concert hall in Amsterdam, Netherlands, built in 1886 in the Neoclassical style to a design by Dolf van Gendt. It is a Rijksmonument, and its acoustics place it among the finest concert halls in the world, alongside Carnegie Hall in New York, Boston's Symphony Hall and the Musikverein in Vienna. Queen Beatrix bestowed the royal title "Koninklijk" on 11 April 2013, marking the building's 125th anniversary.
