The Court of Final Appeal Building, also known as the Old Supreme Court Building, stands at 8 Jackson Road in Central, on the eastern side of Statue Square, directly west of Chater Garden. Completed in 1912 in the Neo-classical style, it housed the former Supreme Court until 1983 and the Legislative Council from 1985 to 2011, and it is now home to the Hong Kong Court of Final Appeal. Atop the building stands a blindfolded statue of Lady Justice holding scales and a sword, and its exterior has been a declared monument since 1984.
