Demolished or destroyed.
Coventry Cathedral, the Cathedral Church of Saint Michael, is the seat of the Bishop of Coventry in the Church of England, in Coventry, West Midlands. Designed by Basil Spence in a modern style and consecrated in 1962, it stands directly beside the ruined 14th-century St Michael's, whose tower and spire survived Second World War bombing. Together the two buildings symbolise both wartime destruction and peace and reconciliation. The new cathedral is a Grade I listed building.
