Cragside is a Tudor Revival country house near Rothbury in Northumberland, England, and a Grade I listed historic house museum. Richard Norman Shaw enlarged a small shooting lodge built by William Armstrong, later 1st Baron Armstrong, between 1869 and 1882. Armstrong, the industrialist and inventor, made it the first house in the world lit by hydroelectric power.
