Cueva de Chinguaro is a cave and Roman Catholic church shrine in Güímar on Tenerife, Canary Islands, and holds bien de interés cultural status. It was the traditional palace of Acaimo, Guanche king of the Menceyato de Güímar, where the Guanche venerated the goddess Chaxiraxi. After the Spanish conquest the cave became a site of the Virgin Mary, and a church shrine was later built there. Carbon-dated ash layers more than 3,000 years old show long indigenous occupation.
