The Danpusan Kofun is a large keyhole-shaped burial mound located within the grounds of Atsuta Shrine in Nagoya's Atsuta-ku district. Built in the zenpō-kōen-fun style characteristic of ancient Japanese funerary architecture, the tumulus was designated a National Historic Site of Japan in 1987. According to local legend, the mound serves as the tomb of Miyazuhime, wife of Prince Yamato Takeru, whose own purported grave lies nearby within the shrine complex.
