De Vriendschap is a stellingmill (a type of Dutch windmill built on a wooden platform) located in Winsum, Netherlands, and designated as a Rijksmonument. As a zelfzwichter (self-regulating windmill), it was engineered to automatically adjust its sails to changing wind conditions, a mechanical innovation that reduced the need for constant manual operation. The mill represents the functional architecture of Dutch water management and grain milling traditions.
