The Denver Colorado Temple is a temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Centennial, Colorado, and the 40th operating temple of the church. Announced in 1982 by Gordon B. Hinckley, it was the first temple built in Colorado. Designed by the church's architectural department under supervising architect Bobby R. Thomas, it uses a modern, minimalistic style and is topped by a single spire about 90 feet high with a gold-leafed statue of the angel Moroni.
