Dol-de-Bretagne Cathedral, dedicated to Saint Samson, stands in Dol-de-Bretagne, France, and was formerly the seat of the Archbishop of Dol. Its current structure dates to the 13th century and is primarily Gothic, with Norman and English influences. Its north tower on the west front was begun in 1520 but never finished for lack of funds, and a local myth holds that the devil knocked off its top. The building is a classified historical monument.
