The Dominican Church and Convent of St. James stands in Sandomierz, Poland, and dates from 1238. It is one of the oldest brick churches in Poland and probably in Europe, and the second oldest Dominican monastery in the country after the one in Kraków. Its architecture is described as a unique indirect form of Romano-Gothic style, with unusual ceramic decoration on the outer gabled walls. The interior stained glass windows date from 1910 to 1918.
