Downtown Athletic Club
Manhattan, United States

The Downtown Athletic Club is a 35-story Art Deco skyscraper at 20 West Street in Manhattan's Financial District, designed by Starrett & van Vleck and completed in 1930. Its setbacks respond to the 1916 Zoning Resolution, which required light to reach the street. Designated a New York City Landmark in 2000, the building housed the club's athletic facilities and living and dining spaces, and it was later converted into residential condominiums.
