Downtown Buda Historic District is a six-block commercial area in Buda, Texas, listed on the National Register of Historic Places on November 7, 2003. Its oldest building dates from 1881, when the arrival of the International-Great Northern Railroad created the town. Twenty-eight contributing buildings date mostly from the early 1900s, the latest from 1934. The district is significant as an example of a late nineteenth to early twentieth century railroad town whose downtown never grew beyond its track-side origins.
