The Dr. Fisk Holbrook Day House, located at 8000 West Milwaukee Avenue in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, is a brick mansion built in 1874 by architect James Douglas for the prominent local physician and amateur geologist Dr. Fisk Holbrook Day. The house exhibits a stylistically eclectic blend of Italianate, Gothic Revival, and Second Empire architecture. Originally known as Sunnyhill Home, it was designed in part to accommodate Day's substantial collection of artifacts and remains Wauwatosa's only major nineteenth-century mansion. The residence was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1997 and is also listed in the Wisconsin State Register of Historic Places and the National Register of Historic Places. Privately owned and not open to the public, it stands as a testament to the intellectual pursuits and prosperity of its original inhabitant, who lived from 1826 to 1903.
