The Drake Hotel is an Art Deco landmark at 1512–1514 Spruce Street in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square neighborhood. Built in 1928–29 by the Murphy, Quigley Company to designs by Ritter and Shay, the 33-story tower is decorated with Spanish Baroque terra cotta themed on Sir Francis Drake, including dolphins, shells, sailing vessels and globes, and is topped by a terra cotta dome. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
