Dunfermline Abbey is a Romanesque former Benedictine abbey in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland, founded in 1101 and now a scheduled monument. The Church of Scotland parish church occupies the site of its ancient chancel and transepts. The abbey was sacked in 1560 during the Scottish Reformation and allowed to fall into disrepair, though part of the old church continued in use and some abbey infrastructure remains.
