The Dzhumaya Mosque stands in the centre of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, and is an example of Ottoman architecture. It was built in 1363–1364 on the site of the Sveta Petka Tarnovska Cathedral Church after the Ottoman conquest of the city, and the old building was later demolished and replaced during the reign of Sultan Murad I in the 15th century. The large mosque has nine domes over a 33 by 27 metre prayer hall, with a minaret at the northeast corner of the main façade.
