Eilean Glas Lighthouse stands on the east coast of Scalpay in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. Built by Thomas Smith, it was first lit in 1789 as the first light in the Hebrides and one of four original lights commissioned by the Commissioners of the Northern Lights. Its 30-metre tower is painted with two broad red bands, and it is a Category A listed building.
