Elbow Reef Lighthouse stands on Elbow Cay in Hope Town, The Bahamas. Built of masonry and about 27 metres tall, it was completed in 1862 and opened on 1 September 1863. It is one of the last operational kerosene-fueled lighthouses in the world, and its light is sequenced by a hand-cranked weight mechanism.
