Elisabeta Palace, located on Kiseleff Road in Bucharest, is a royal residence built in 1937 for Princess Elisabeth of Romania, daughter of King Ferdinand I and Queen Marie. Designed by architects Constantin Ionescu and Corneliu Marcu, the palace combines Brâncovenesc and Moorish architectural styles. Originally commissioned for the princess, who was also aunt to King Michael I, the palace was transferred to the former king by the Romanian Senate in 2001 and now serves as the official residence of the Custodian of the Romanian Crown and members of the Royal Family. It functions as a state reception venue for foreign dignitaries and notable Romanian figures.
