Elizabeth, United States
Exterior only
Visible from the street; the inside is private.
The Elizabeth Hospital Building stands at 230 Poplar Street in Elizabeth, Louisiana, a sawmill town platted by the Industrial Lumber Company in 1907. The two-story frame structure is 11 bays wide and two rooms deep, with a central corridor. Its exterior combines three types of clapboarding, and its arched entrance sits beneath a pediment. Somewhat Colonial Revival in style, it has a stone at the front steps dated 1924, though the building may be older.
