Els Quatre Gats is a café in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, housed in the Casa Martí and designed by Josep Puig i Cadafalch in the Catalan modernist and Gothic Revival styles. It opened on 12 June 1897 and became a central meeting point for leading modernist figures, including Pablo Picasso, Ramon Casas i Carbó and Antoni Gaudí i Cornet. It closed due to financial difficulties in June 1903, and was reopened and restored to its original condition in 1989.
