The Elwood Haynes Museum occupies the former mansion of inventor Elwood Haynes on South Webster Street in Kokomo, Indiana. Haynes had the house built after becoming a millionaire in 1916 and lived there until his death in 1925. Opened to the public in 1967 after being donated to the city, the museum displays many of his original inventions and holds more than 15,000 documents and photographs. The Prairie School-style house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
