The Emperor's Mosque in Sarajevo, completed in 1457, was the first mosque constructed following the Ottoman conquest of Bosnia. Built by Isaković-Hranušić and dedicated to Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, it exemplifies classical Ottoman architectural style and stands as the largest single-subdome mosque in the country. Renowned as one of the finest Ottoman-period mosques in the Balkans, it is distinguished by its spacious interior and refined decorative elements, particularly its mihrab. The structure is inscribed as a National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
