Erfurt Cathedral, formally the Hohe Domkirche St. Marien zu Erfurt, is a Catholic cathedral and the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Erfurt in the Thuringian city of Erfurt, Germany. Begun in 1154 and built mainly in sandstone and the International Gothic style, it is the city's largest and oldest church building. It stands on a hillside above the main town square beside St Severus' Church, and together the two form the city's landmark. It is a heritage monument in Thuringia.
