Estació del Nord is Valencia's principal railway station, completed in 1917 by architect Demetrio Ribes as a landmark work of Valencian Art Nouveau. Situated in the city centre beside the Plaza de Toros bullring and near the town hall, this surface-level station was originally built and operated by Caminos de Hierro del Norte de España, the railway company whose name it commemorates. Now owned and operated by Adif, the station serves regional and long-distance trains, though AVE high-speed services use the nearby Valencia-Joaquín Sorolla station instead. Connected to Metrovalencia and the city bus network, the building was declared a Good of Cultural Heritage in 1987, recognizing its architectural significance.
