Europa Point Lighthouse stands at Europa Point, the southeastern tip of the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar, at the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea. Built of masonry in 1838 and inaugurated in 1841, the 20-metre cylindrical tower is painted white with a wide red horizontal band at its middle. Operated by Trinity House, it was fully automated in 1994 and converted to LED operation in 2016.
